The TJ 'EVO' soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones are available in four distinct finishes: Gold Lacquer, Gold Frost, Black Gloss, and Black Frost. These instruments are meticulously designed to produce a rich, full-bodied tone with strong projection. Made from an alloy containing 68% copper, they offer a warm, resonant sound and increased durability. Each bell is fully handcrafted, hammered, and expertly voiced by skilled technicians to ensure the highest sound quality.
The ‘EVO’ instruments incorporate numerous advanced features to enhance playability and longevity, including an improved neck design for better intonation and response, a new pivot screw system to minimise unwanted movement, newly designed needle springs for better key response, and adjustable screws for stable fine-tuning. The enhanced G# adjusting screws offer a precise action. Double key arms on the low C and C# keys provide stability, while an ergonomic table key design and vintage-styled side C and Bb key arm connectors ensure strength and quiet operation.
